Hi Pam,
Do you know of any Diersings related to your Anna who might have settled in the Hamilton County/Cincinnati, Ohio area?
I have a Bernard Diersing, born in February, 1816 in Germany who came to America in Sept. 1873 with his children Henry, Dina, Catharina, and Elise Diersing and settled in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.He married Marie E. Moorhaus (2nd wife),and his 1st wife was Elizabeth Gamberg.Bernard was
the father of several children, one of whom was my great-great grandfather George D. Diersing, who also lived in Cincinnati, Ohio.My George was born in Hanover, Germany as were some of his siblings. We also know one of his siblings was born in Ankum, Germany.
Through the internet I have also exchanged information with Clarence Diesing, whose Diersing family members are from the Louisville, Kentucky area and someone in his family told him his Diersings are related to other Diersings who have settled in the Cincinnati, Hamilton County, area of Cincinnati as well as Diersings who have settled in Indiana and Illinois. If you think there may be a connection with your Diersings, please write at [email protected]'d be glad to share information.Thank you.
