James (G602) - Dover, Dutchess Co. NY

James Dingee 1801-1864 produced a large branch of the family in and around Dover, Dutchess Co. NY. We can identify most of his children and that he died in teh Civil war. However, we can't identify his parents or his location prior to 1850. He appears first (for sure) in the 1850 Dover census, at age 49, with a wife and many children. He may be the James Dingee found in the 1840 Union Vale census. He may have also came from Putnam Co. NY. Please send any information on James to [email protected]
