Hello. It seems it has been a few years since I've thought about Thomas DITSON.But, something reminded me about him this morning, and I posted a new query on the MA Mailing List atwww.rootsweb.comSomeone responded with the following information:
Betty ~Someone has joined the DAR on his service, and shows his death as:
(ANTE) 30 Sep 1828 TOWNSEND MASSACHUSETTS .It gives his wives as:
1.Elizabeth Blanchard and 2. Prudence Douglass.
There is also a Rev. War pension file for him that gives his residence in
1818 as Ashby and in 1820 as Townsend. It also said he "had no family except his
wife Prudence.
Because I am just seeing this information, I will try again to find out where Thomas was buried.I had checked the Ashby cemeteries a year or two ago, and I will now try to find out where the Townsend cemeteries are.
(Someone else had checked the Mason cemeteries about 4-5 years ago.)
Betty
P.S.The "Yankee Doodle Weekend" will be held in mid-September !
