Dear Colleen- thanks for your reply.By a coincidence I haveat the moment the Parish Record film for Shoreham out on loan at the local Latter Day Saints reading room. I have located the marriage of Abraham Jordan to Hannah Divall at Shoreham in 1784 but that, in fact, is the first mention of any Divalls so we must assume she came from a neighbouring parish and moved in to get married. I am as anxious as you to find out about her.My cousin (also researching) has her down as christened in 1763 but I don't know where he got that from and am asking him for his source. I have the Parish record film for Ightham ( the neighbouring parish) on order and hope that when I go through it it will reveal some more Divalls and Jordans. In case you are wondering where my interest come from I would mention that William Jordan (the son of Abraham and Hannah) is my great- great grandfather. I will keep you informed if anything turns up in Ightham.Kind regards. Allan Sparrow
