I descend from John Doane through Elisha Doane and Rebecca Eliza Burris.

Their daughter Eva Ellen Doane married Thaddius Andrew Harmon (December 7, 1907 in Odon, Indiana).Thaddius and Eva had two children Claude Lester Harmon born in Missouri in 1909 and Mary Ethel Harmon born in Houston,Texas in 1913.

I can tell you Mary A. Doane daughter of Elisha Doane and Rebecca Eliza Burris married a Charles Brown.It is my understanding they lived and died in Houston.

Osa A. Doane, daughter of Elisha Doane and Rebecca Eliza Burris married a Mr. Arndt.It is my understanding they lived and died in Houston.

The names of the husbands of Osa and Mary A. were given tome by my mother who is the daughter of Mary Ethel Harmon.

I believe Elisha and Rebecca may have had 3 other children: Earl, John and Hattie.

I don't have a Maggie M. for them.

Rebecca Eliza Burris was the only child of David C. Burris and Nancy McConnoughay and was born in 1855 in Illinois, but grew up in Odon, Indiana area.
