Re: William Dollar-Pickens County AL

I just found a record in York,SC that has
the 1812 soldiers listed for that county. Two of them are Dollars. John Dollar served with Alston's 3rd Regiment,SC militia. William Dollar also served in Austen's Regiment of the militia. Both were Privates. My William
Dollar b. abt.1790 went to Morgan,AL in 1830.
His brother JOhn died bef. 1840 but his wife
Nancy and children also went to Morgan,AL.
I believe this William who died 1852 ( I have part of probate record) was the William in Pickens,Al. He would have been a veteran of the 1812 and not the REV war. Thanks, Nardell
