Would you know, Gene, whether any of Edward Dorsey's descendants remained in Norfolk?My gg-grandmother was Susannah Dorsey, b. Norfolk, VA circa 1818, m. John Lindsey in Norfolk, VA in Feb 1836, d. Henrico County, VA, 8 Nov 1886. She and John Lindsey had 11 children.

I have found nothing more about her family except that the 1870 census says that her mother was of foreign birth.
