I can satisfactorily document William, James, and Thomas as issue of Doswell Rogers.
Next would be Adenstone who is found signing a deed for property being sold by Doswell in 1792 and he lived in Lee Co. VA for a time where Doswell lived. The next would be Doswell, Jr. who appears as buying land from Doswell, Sr., but also appears to be the one deceased in 1809 in the family bible.
The others were named in a journal of Hurd Rogers--Caty, George, Joseph, Elisha. However, these children are NOT documented by proof, but strong circumstancial evidence would tends to bear out what Hurd has claimed. However, be warned that Hurd was over 80 years old and he did say things which can be proven to be incorrect. Thus far, I believe that if Doswell married twice, all of these could be his issue.
As far as having definite proof that Catherine is the dau of Doswell, I don't have anything after 40+ years of working Doswell Rogers' life.
I do have have documentation to prove that a Catherine and William Roberts were married and a list of their issue. It also shows connection to other Rogers and therefore, one assumes that this is THE Catherine who is considered a dau.
