I have seen the information on your family line elsewhere and while we have two relatives with an unusual first name, Milo Dotson, I have not been able to make a connection - until I saw this posting. You say that William Dotson's father was Rev. William Dotson. I believe, but cannot verify, that the elder William may be a brother or cousin of my ancestor, David Dotson. William was listed on the 1820 and 1830 Lawrence County, Indiana census and I also found a listing where he married a couple in Lawrence County in Feb. 1830. Also listed with him in the same time frame were Thomas Dotson, b 1796 NC, and George, who also must have been in the ministry as I have a listing where he preached the second Sunday of August, 1830, at Salt Creek Baptist Church, Lawrence County, Ind. My David is living during this same time period in Crawford County, Ind., which is very close to Lawrence County. David Dotson is the grandfather of my great-grandfather, Milo Dotson. Could your Williamhave lived in Indiana in the early 1800s?
