William Dodson (Lambeth-Lambeth-Charles) born abt. 1750 in Virginia had moved to White Co., Tennessee by 1808. He is the one listed on the 1820 census of White County. He had moved from Patrick Co., Virginia. March 6, 1826, William Dodson made an entry for 100 acres of land in White Co., located on the south side of Caney Fork in the Beech Cove. It states this land was in the aprt of White Co. that was cut off to create Van Buren Co. His children that are listed on pg. 80 of the Dodson/Dotson book, vol. 1: Simon Dotson, William "Bucky" Dotson Jr., Eli Dodson and Daniel Dotson.
On pg. 210 William "Bucky" Jr Dodson was born Feb. 2, 1793, Patrick Co., Virginia. William "Bucky" came with his parents in 1808 to White Co., Tennessee where they settled at the "Big Bottom". Bucky later bought land near Beech Cove near Caney Fork in a part of the county that later became Van Buren Co.Tennessee.
