I have found a little more, and there is a William & a William Jr -- maybe this will help:
1.Fannie Olive1 Houser was born 1868 in dgtr of David & Martha J Cooper Houser.She married William Commodore Dotson1 June 14, 1888 in Pleasants Co, WV, son of Marion Dotson and Sarah Barker.He was born June 02, 1867 in Pleasants Co, WV.
Notes for William Commodore Dotson:
W.C. Dotson age 21 married Fannie O. Houser age 20June 14, 1888 in Pleasants Co, WV
She was daughter of David & Martha J Cooper Houser.

William C Dotson one of a family of eight chilldren, was born in Pleasants County, June 2, 1867, and from early childhood has lived at St Marys.He attended country schools to the age of fourteen, learned telegraphy and was an operator with the Baltimore & Ohio railroad . . . He was elected clerk of the county court . . . He became financially interested iin the formation of a new bank at St. Marys . . . he later succeeded Mr. Mallory as president and has filled that position now for a quarter of a century. . . Mr. Dotson has been very successful as an individual business man.He has shown much. . . constructive leadership ... became engaged in oil development.
