The town she resided in will likely not help you and here is why.
The mother of Mary Rose Baker was Amorette Grace Lawrence who was born and married in Onondaga County, New York.Amorette's husband Lester Baker was born elsewhere in New York. The family moved to Wauneta, Chase County, NEBRASKA.There Lester died in 1890.
Mary Rose Baker was married in 1899 to Ed Doty.Where I do not know, but assume it was in Nebraska. The 1900 census shows Mary Rose Baker Doty, her husband Ed Doty, and her mother Amorette Grace Lawrence Baker still living in Wauneta, Chase, Nebraska. That same census shows that Ed was born in Iowa and both his parents were born in Illinois.
Later these three individuals moved to Atwood, Rawlins County, Kansas. It is my understanding that Mary Rose and Ed both were buried in Atwood.Amorette died in 1925 in Atwood but was buried in Nebraska by her husband.
Mary Rose Baker and her husband Ed had no sons that I am aware of, only daughters.
Atwood is in Rawlins County in the far northwestern corner of Kansas. The other cities you asked about (Peru, Sedan, and Niotaze)are in Chautauqua County which is in the far southeastern corner of Kansas.
Sorry we cannot be of any help for the Doty individuals you are looking for.
