Very interesting. If I have it correctly, you are an 11th generation decendant of Edward.I am as well.We are both related through Henry -- me through his son Joseph and you through his youngest son Henry. I believe this makes us cousins!
I could be wrong but I believe I could have a copy of your Henry's marriage license to Rossanah Cutshall. If you're interested in a copy I could send it to you.
I guess we are both working with Myrtle on our applications. She told me that there was another applicant in California that descended through Henry, but due to confidentiality reasons she couldn't tell me who it was.The truly amazing thing is that 4 people (you, me and two others) now have active applications through Henry.Myrtle told me that prior to my application no one had previosly filed for a line through Henry.
I'm probably the one Myrtle was referring to with regard to DNA.She told me that only one other person has been able to use DNA for the Mayflower Society approval process. However, my DNA was such a close match to another already admitted member that she wants to try to get Plymouth to accept it.I can prove my lineage to a Joseph Doty of Belmont County Ohio that was born in 1794.The Mayflower Silver Book says that Henry had a son named Joseph born in 1794 so it makes sense that my Joseph is Henry's son. However, she spoke to Plymouth and found that I needed to prove Henry had a son named Joseph and that Henry married Sarah Sally Campbell. It will be nearly impossible to find evidence of Joseph's birth records, but I think I can prove that Henry was married to Sarah Campbell with the document I referred to from St. Martin of Tours Church in Louisiana. Therefore, I'll only have one missing piece and hopefully they will accept my DNA for that purpose.Even if they don't accept it, I am now quite confident of my lineage to Edward.
To help make the strongest argument possible to Plymouth Myrtle requested that I try to get one of the other applicants in our line to take the DNA test as well. The one I'm in touch with in Nebraska has convinced her brother to take the test.Assuming he has started the process it could take another 6 weeks to get those results.I'm still working on the other applicant to see if he'll take the test.
By the way, there was no extra cost for additional copies of Reuben's marriage record.I ordered extra copies on the off chance that one of our cousins wanted a copy.So no problem sending you a copy once I get my hands on it.
