Recently, Marie Rundquist and the AMERINDIAN Ancestry Out of Acadia DNA PROJECT at Family Tree DNA reported information about an individual whose paternal line appears to tie back to Germain Doucet, born about 1595. This test returned yDNA haplotype C3 with specific markers seem to point to a Native American paternal line.
Interestingly, this second site also lists a another result for a Doucet, this one haplotype R1b1b2, which is not considered Native American. Unfortunately, no information beyond the surname is available about this second test.
I was wondering if anyone could help me answer two questions:
1. Does anyone know of any other yDNA results that tie back to Germain Doucet?
2. Can anyone find any errors in the above posted line back to Germain Doucet.
