The following data was copied from "American Civil War Soldiers" on Ancestry.com:

On May 21, 1888, Nancy E. Dove filed for a pension as the widow of Booker Dove of Company I, 53d VA. Regiment of Infantry. The circiumstances of his death were given as follows:"Captured at the battle of Five Forks 1st April 1865 and died in prison at Point Lookout Maryland from priosn treatment".
There seems to have been two men named Booker Dove who were born in and lived in Pittsylvania County in the same span of time. The older Booker Dove was a postmaster in Pittsylvania County at the time the younger Booker dove was a 15-year old farm hand according to the 1850 Census.I wonder if some records of the two have been confused?
