Well, now, here's another anomally...
As I had said before, my mother had recorded that her parents were born in Smierdzyna (which isn't on today's maps). I was talking to a cousin this weekend and she has their birth place as "Kielce - Staszow" -- that would be the town of Staszow in the former province of Kielce, not the city of Kielce. She said it was from their acutal birth certificates that her father had had, but didn't know where to look for them at that moment.
