I tryed emailing you, but I kept getting the mail back. I hoped you had a nice trip to Indiana. If you don't mind I'll like to pick your brain some more regarding the Ducketts of Oxford, Butler, Ohio. Do you know who the Sally Duckett that is buried in the Woodside Cemetry is? Her tombstone reads, " In memory of Sally, wife of John R. DUCKETT, who died Aug .... 1834. I looked at the US Census for Oxford, Butler, Ohio, staring with the 1820. That census shows two Johns DUCKET living in Butler County, one in Oxford and one in Hanover.

Oxford Township:

John Ducket

Males:under 10- 2., 10 & under 16- 1., between16 and 18-1., between 16 and 26-3., 45 and up-1

Females: 10 and under 16-2., 16 and under 26-1., 45 and up-1

Hanover Township:

Males: under 10-1., 26 and under 45-1

Females: under 10-2., 16 and under 26-1

By 1830 there are more Duckets in Oxford. Although, the enumerator listed the last name as Dcket. They are Benjamin, two Johns and a John H., Tilghman listed as Thnon, and William. Do you know who Bejamin is?
Hanover also has more Duckets listed as Dukate. They are James and Josiah.

By the 1840, as you can imagine, the Duckett family and its variations continues to spread across Ohio. Besides Oxford, there seems to be a good number of Ducketts in Milford, Clermont, Ohio and Miami, Clermont, Ohio. In Oxford we now haveC M Duckett, John Duckett, Tighlman Duckett, Wm Duckett, and a John Dugate that I suspect could be misspelled by the enumerator. Do you have any idea who C M is?

Any way, I hope you are not bothered by me picking your brain and using you as a sound board. If you are please let me know and I'll stop.

One last thing, would you be willing to take a DNA test through Ancestry? You are the only male Duckett that I know and it would really help us finding relatives and establishing connections. Think about it.
