We have talked before. You are absolutely correct, there is a relationship between all of them.Captain Jacob Duckworth and his wife Charity (unknown) had several children.Joseph and Benjamin are their oldest sons and they did make the move from Anson with their mother Charity after Captain Jacob Duckworth died in Anson County. The Jacob who married Annie Welborn was actually another one of Captain Jacob's younger children. He was born in Anson in 1780 and was still living with Widow Charity during the 1790 and 1800 census. Then he appears in the 1810 census married to Annie Welborn.Jacob Duckworth Jr and his younger brother, William(s) Duckworth married the Welborn sisters and they were all close in age.Don't pay any attention to the headstone of Jacob Jr because it has been replaced with the current one.The date of birth is wrong and he didn't ever serve in the war.Another headstone you want to disregard is Hester Martin's.Hester Martin is really Hester Duckworth NOT Hester Roundtree. She was a daughter of Captain Jacob and his wife Charity. That is why Thomas Martin and Hester left with the rest of the family....she was Charity's daughter and Thomas Martin was her son-in-law.Makes more sense now doesn't it!
