I may be able to help you. I received a lot of stuff from a Dukelow here in Melbourne, Australia, where I live. Their family tree goes back to 1072 during the first crusade. Exciting stuff, but I haven't been able to establish a link because it only goes down and not across. My branch of the Duclos family comes to Australia in 1883 from Mauritius. Some of the detail I received was: family history of John Dukelow, married to Jane Baker in 1836 in Co. Cork, Ireland. Children: John, Thomas, Henry, James, Minnie, Anne, William, Samuel, Peter, Charles. [You have a James, Minnie, Charles] Some of the other info is: "Among the early Duclos in Ireland was Paul Duclos, who was ordained an Anglican priest at Cork, Munster, Ireland, and became Vicar of Bellymodan, and later Prebendary (Canon) of Ireland. He died in 1717 or 1719." also "One source says that the Duclos originated in France about 1079; fled to England during the troubles and became British citizens. The name was changed to Dukelow 15 April 1687 in the 3 years of reign of King James II. Members of the family then migrated from England to Ireland where the majority settled in County Cork."
I still don't know if these Duclos are related to my lot as the connection is difficult to make. The earliest of our lot that I have is:
Michel Duclos (married to Marie Cretaux) - their son, Julien Duclos (b. 1780? Valognes, Dept. de la Manche, France, d.13/6/1840 Pondicherry, India) married to Marie Jeanne Colombe Javon (b. 30/8/1800 Pantin, Dept. de la Seine, France. d. 11/5/1885 Singapore) - and so on.
Does any of this ring a bell with you?
Regards,
Lyn Duclos (I use my maiden name)
