Waco, Tex., April 6 – Mr. George B. Dutton died last night. His funeral and burial took place to-day, attended largely. Prominent among those present were members of the local lodge of Independent Order of Odd Fellows in uniforms and members of the Workmen’s Mutual Aid, Mr. Dutton having been a member in high standing of the two orders named. George B. Dutton was born Oct. 7, 1818, at Charleston, N.H. He removed to Syracuse, N. Y., in 1838, and to Minneapolis, Minn., in 1848. During his residence in Minnesota he served two terms in the State Legislature as representative from his county, and one year as speaker of the House of Representatives. In 1852 he was elected Grand Master of the Grand Lodge I. O. O. F. of Minnesota. In 1858 he removed to Waco, and had resided here continuously for thirty years. Mr. Dutton was a carpenter and builder, and at one time had the largest business of that kind in Waco.
