SUBJECT
The indenture concerns copyhold land in Wavertree on the South side of the lane leading from Edgehill to Wavertree with 4 dwelling houses erected on it.
We are told that this property had been in the hands of Samuel Dutton who died in 1814 leaving it to his son in law James Grierson (who had been married to his late daughter, Martha).
James Grierson is now selling the proprty to William Pearson and John Ashton for £875 and has duly surrendered it to the Lord of the Manor. This indenture includes a number of Covenants which would normally appear at the end of a conveyance of freehold land.
