To P. Rutledge - the names you mention do not occur in my direct line. However, there were quite a few branches in London by 1804.For example, the original Matthew Dutton, b. 1698, had a son named Betham, who, although born in Bedfordshire, ended up in Rotherhithe (adjacent to Walworth). His only surviving son, Benjamin, was born at Rotherhithe in 1753.Maybe there is a connection here.
You probably know this already, but in the Post Office London Directory for 1846 there is an entry for George Hill Dutton, Brewer, 9 Dutton (sic) Street.I looked this up in the modern London A-Z and Dutton Street is in the Greenwich area, once again, not far from Walworth. There is also a Joseph Dutton, Oil and Colour Warehouse, 8 Bath Street, City, and Robert William Dutton (not a direct ancestor, but 'one of mine') at 148 Fleet Street.
Am just off out, but will try and hunt out some more possibles, i.e. any names that are not in a branch line to my own family and that could connect up with yours.Regards, Hilary
