I haven't been able to find a Thomas Dutton in SC in 1840, where he should be based on birthplaces of his children. I have been told that he is the father of my Henry G. Dutton, b. abt 1830 in SC, though I can't provide documentation for that at the moment.
I have also not been able to find Thomas in Blountsville in 1870, but I can't say whether that means he died 1860-1870 or is just living elsewhere.
Any leads would be welcome. Thanks, Karen Dutton NC
