Hi Judy, I am a Texas Duty. My Duty's go back to Philip Duty and Sarah Ann Clark. My family tree is: William W. Duty, Jr.,William W. Duty, Sr., William W. Duty, James C. Duty, Sr., Philip Duty, and Thomas Duty. I am looking for information about my great grand father, William W. Duty the son of James C. Duty, Sr. and Mary Ann Johnson. I know that William W. Duty was born 5-3-1854, Clarksville, Red River County,Tx. Married Texanna Belle Perkins about 1885-86. I believe he died about 1899, possibly somewhere around Austin, Tx. He did not show up in the 1900 Houston County, Tx. census, it showed only Texanna and the children. I guess you,Laura, Karen and I are all distant cousins.William C. Duty
