David, I am puzzled

Why is there confusion as to the names of Catherine's parents?

I do not have access to Drouin,PRDH,and other authorities, but use the FamilySearch Record Pilot site for the Canadian Catholic Churches film of the original births, marriages and deaths, to document those events in ancestors lives.

The marriage record for Catherine and Jean Louis clearly identifies Catherine as the daughter of the late Jacques Duval and the deceased Marguerite Douville.

Are there other documents that contradict that information, such as marriage contract, wills, etc?

According to her burial record she was age 78 when she died in May 1825, making her born 1747.

Now if I can just find her birth record.
