Speaking of that lawsuit in 1821 in Prince George's County...Online at the Maryland State Archives web site is this abstract of an item in the Chancery Court Papers which reads:
Date: 1821/04/21 12297: Nathan Waters vs. Mareen Duvall, John Carroll, Mary Carroll, William J. Duvall, Benjamin Duvall, Walter Duvall, Sarah Duvall, Richard Yarrington, Areanna Yarrington, Mr. Coulter, and Eleanor Coulter. PG. [Prince George County] Contract to purchase Goes Purchase. Accession No.: 17,898-12297; MSA S512-15-12104; Location: 1/39/4/
I suspect that Richard YARRINGTON and Areanna YARRINGTON are the Richard YARRINGTON & Arry/Anna DUVALL who married 8 Feb 1798 in Anne Arundel Co., MD.
There are two sources for this marriage record, one who says she was Arry DUVALL and one who says she was Anna DUVALL. Until I see the original record, myself, I can only guess that she was Arry Anna = Areanna = Arianna. The DUVALLs were French, so she probably started out Arienne.
