I have to ask - how do you know William Duvall moved to Missouri?

There was a John Duvall in Macon County, Missouri in the 1830s.I can't find my notes no him at the moment and will have to go to the archives tomorrow to find the listings.

Is it possible that this John Duvall in Macon County, Missouri is your John Duvall?

The oral tradition of my family holds that three brothers came from Ketucky and settled in different parts of the State.I have always believed that John Duvall was the "Northern" brother while my ancestor William Duvall was the "Central" brother.William and his wife Lucy C. Ellis came to Missouri in 1839.

Around Christmas I was in touch with a Mr. Duvall from around Higginsville, Missouri, who told me the same story about three Duvall brothers coming from Kentucky.However, he couldn't tell me where he had even heard the story and his line didn't appear to be related.His history had a William P. Duvall migrating to Missouri?

I hope we can make some connection here.William Duvall's origin has always elluded me.
