I have a friend who is looking for her father, Benjamin Newell DuVall and her mother Laura McElfresh.They supposedly were the first Maryland DuVall's who settled in VA.
He was born in 1890.

She spoke with a cousin who had a book on the DuVall's (from Maryland), but when she contacted the Genealogy Society of Maryland, they said they were working on a new book and did not have any of the earlier editions.
