This is the information I have and please correct any part that is in error.
James Dwigans of the 1810 Washington Co. PA census purchased land in Guernsey Co. OH 1814 and moved there by 1825 and is listed on the tax list for 1825.He is listed in the 1830 Census Washington Twp. Guernsey Co. OH and he died in 1837.His will names son Robert Jones, James, Calahan, Sylvester and his grandchildren Rainey (children of his daughter, Elizabeth who married Samuel Rainey).Not named in the will are the likely sons, John and Daniel who are listed on the 1830 Census for Guernsey Co.Also on the 1830 Census is another female child which may have been Rebecca who is listed on the 1870 Census of Philadelphia PA who was born 1805 in PA.
John and Sylvester are on the 1840 Census of Guernsey Co. OH.Sylvester is sued and has a judgement of $20,000 in 1844 and moves to Athens Co. OH by 1850.John died in 1848 in Guernsey Co. OH.Daniel disappears but a Hannah Dwigans appears in Muskingum Co. 1840 Census with a elderly woman that was in Daniel's household in 1830.
James Dwigan (son of James) moves to Hardin OH by 1840 and is listed as original lot owner in History of Hardin Co. OH as 1835 and 1837.He then moves to Hamilton Indiana and dies in 1853.
Calahan Dwigan born 1802 in Maryland is in Cedar Co. IA by 1840 and remains there 1850 and 1860
Robert Jones Dwigans is found in Cedar Co. IA by 1850 but I don't know where he was in 1840.Sylvester is in Cedar Co. IA in 1860.
