This seems to be buried in the old string so I am posting here also.

I have just copied and transcribed the 1821 Spotsylvania Co. VA will of Thomas Eads from a FHL film of will book K for this county. This probably makes the previously mentioned note about this Thomas moving to KY in 1816 something other than factual.
The Thomas Eads that married an Elizabeth Alford and the Thomas Eads who married (1) Elizabeth Rutherford in Goochland VA about 1775 and (2) Sarah Davenport are 2 different people.
Only in the entries in The Douglas Register for the marriage of Thomas Eads EDDES etc is the middle name Bailey shown in one entry for the marriage to Elizabeth Rutherford. The Douglas Register also show the birth of a son, Thomas to this couple.
The way that the children are listed in the 1821 will, there is little doubt left that the writer of the will is the father of two unique sets of children. Wife "sarah" is also mentioned in the will.
I descend from the marriage of Thomas and Sarah through a son, Austin. His daughter with Francis Henderson, Ellen Eads, married my William A Linthicum about 1859 in KY. I will be happy to exchange information with anyone following this line and would be most appreciative of having any solid lead for the parents of Thomas Bailey? Eads.
