I don't have anything on the Decatur Co., IN Earls, but keep the faith, my husband was born there in New Point. He still has family there. We go back home occasionally. I have the county history book, but it is not indexed, I'm sorry to say, but the WPA workers did an all name inclusive index of Decatur County and that is at the Greensburg Library. If you could get someone to send you a copy ofEARLES and WILSONs in Lewis Harding's history book, I would be happy to get the entries for you. In our research we will keep an eye open for the Wilsons, as well. Several David Wilsons are on ancestry.com indexes for 1840, 1850, and 1860, Decatur Co. even one in Salt Creek Twp. where the Hardings had lived for many years. I found only one John Earles and John Earls, the same person, in 1860 Franklin Co., Ray Twp., another place where Hardings lived. There's a Decatur Co. marriage record, but it's too late for you.John Earles married Elizabeth Whitecomb, 22 Feb. 1865. Here are 2 entries for Decatur Co. Indiana Decatur County, pre 1850.
