Omer, since your posting is almost a year old this may be an exercise in futility.I am researching the Easleys now as one of my ancestors married the daughter of Daniel Weldon Easley.I found your Richard in the Jefferson Library in Wilson's "Early History of Jackson County, Georgia."I was hoping you may be able to help me with his family. He is listed with other Easleys in Jackson Co. but cannot connect him.Daniel W., Roderick, Benjamin, James and John all are mentioned. Are any of these related to Richard?I am sorry I can't help you with Fort Yargo.Several of my Seaboard RR friends were from Ft.Yargo/Bethlehem area - R.K.Harrison and "Jug" Thompson and I went to Emory with two boys from Winder, Penn McWhorter and Brunnell Langford. They all talked about Fort Yargo.Wilson's history tells about the three Revolutionary War soldiers coming from Effingham Co. and founding the Talasee Colony in 1786.As best I can recall, either Moore or Strong moved to the Winder area and built the fort.If you could help me with any information on Richard, I sure would appreciate it.
With Best Regards,
Clarence D. Cade
