Hi, Susan,
My great great grandfather's name was John L. Eason. He was from North Carolina, lived in Alabama for a short time, then settled in Slate Springs, Mississippi. He was born around 1790 and died during the Civil War, I believe.Listed int the 1880 census in the same area, there is a Bennett B. Eason, born in N.C., and his wife, Frances J., born in Alabama.Bennett was 27. Frances was 26. They had three children listed as : Susanah F, age 5 , Seth W, age 2, and James W., age 6 and a half.My uncle, Darius Eason, who did the research has in his notes that Bennett may have been John's son, nephew,or other close relative. My great grandfather, Isaac Allen Eason, had a son named Elisha Bennett Eason.I haven't been able to find any information about John L. Eason or his wife Stasha other than this, i.e., where in North Carolina were they born (if there) or the exact dates. Stasha was older than John and may have been his second wife, so I don't know if she's my great great grandmother or not. The names were so close that I thought I should share this with you.
