Yes, Thelma, it does!This is the Dorcas Eason I was wondering about -- daughter of John William Eason and Dorcas speights. I'm even more intrigued now that you mention searching in Natchitoches LA, because that is where my husband's Harrells first touched base in Louisiana.My husband's ggf enlisted in Company B, 2nd Louisiana Cavalry CSA at Natchitoches, and his cousins John William B. Harrell and Joseph R. Harrell were there ahead of him (they eventually settled in Texas).
Do you have dates or 1850 census data for your John William Eason Jr?
