I had seen Christiana Decker in a record online and was curious because one of the daughters of Joseph and Eliza was Christine. The oldest was Mary A (my g-g-grandmother), followed by Jane, Catherine, and Christine. Mary A married John Swan.
Also, I believe that Christina was the daughter of George.A son of Joseph and Eliza is George. The oldest son is John.
The date is good for Decker.Does anything you have show that there are Josephs in the family of Conrad? And another thing that I find curious....John Skiles.
The Joseph Eberhart family lived with this man, a shoemaker, in 1850.He is from PA.I have tried to find a connection between him and the family and cannot. At first I thought Eliza was probably Eliza Skiles.I was surprised to find she was Mahanna.Do any Skiles families turn up in your records?
A curiousity is found in some directory records. While Joseph is clearly a tailor on the 1850 census I only see a painter in the directory records in the early 1850s.They appear to be one in the same.Odd career change. But then again some of the same family (Hincks and Swan) made some interesting changes.Thomas Hincks, a cabinetmaker, became the sexton of the First Baptist Church. After him the job went to Richard Swan (father-in-law of Mary Eberhart Swan) and then George Swan (her brother in law).
Yes, I'm interested in information that may connect Conrad to Joseph.I can share with all all of the Joseph and Eliza records I have which go through the Swan line to today.
Hope I have finally found someone else in my Eberhart family!!
