John K. Eddowes, the well known and popular Geneva druggist, died at his home in that city about 10 o'clock Sat., Aug. 7, after and illness which began about the first of June. He leaves a wife and five sisters.
"Uncle John" as he was familiarly known was born in Delaware, November 17, 1832. He became a resident of Galena, Illinois, in 1840 and in 1870 located in Geneva at which point he had since been engaged in the drug business.
I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information.
