Hi Joan: thanks for the message about our EDMISTONS. I have visited scotland severl times, and when there they did agree that the town/city was named for the EDMONSTONE family who owned the property where the city is built.They told me it was originally EDINBOROUGHmeaning area of the family name.. Now it is often Edinburg. but all the same.I have house guests for three days and had to file my family manuscripts, but will check and get back to you next week.Thanks.
