I am a descendant of James Edmiston and Janet Boyd from the Glasgow area. Janet came to Canada in 1853 with 4 of her sons (leaving 4 other sons in Scotland), but I have not been able to obtain any information about James.I have found his marriage information, but no evidence of his death.Could it be possible that these people might fit into your branch of the family somehow?There are many Edmistons in Canada as well as the US.
