Which John Boughan?How do you know it's this Mary?In looking at Boughan material - there are several possible Mary's of the right age.

The document makes reference to an earlier deed for these slaves from Thomas Wiatt, husband of Sukey Edmondson Wiatt, only daughter of John Edmondson and Mary Edmondson (Jones) to Gabriel and Mary Jones’ children. This document is incomplete.

Biog./Hist. NoteGabriel Jones was born about 1715 and was living in Culpeper County, Virginia, by 1766. He married Mary Boughan Edmondson, widow of John Edmondson (d. ca. 1733) of Essex County, Virginia, sometime after 1733. They had at least five children. Mary Jones had one daughter by her first marriage, Sukey Edmondson, who married Thomas Wiatt of Essex County.

The part that I have not been able to figure out is which Boughan that had a daughter Mary in this time period - is the right Mary?
