I know nothing about the rifle, however, we are related if you have roots back to Joseph Hosmer. Mine is thru the Peaslee family

on another note, my family owned the Senator Edmunds, summer house in Bay Head ,NJ, from 1956 to 1989, prehaps he went there for the duck hunting. The house was the third house built in Bay Head, and was built in 1883. Unfortunately it has since been torn down for a more modern house
