Dinwiddie Co, VA John Edmundson & Gresham

26 July 1815 Ambrose Gresham of Halifax County, Va for 1 bay mare and $10 discharges Benona Gresham of all money left for my benefit by the Will of John Edmundson, dec'd late of Dinwiddie Co, VA.

From previous notes taken many years ago, Ambrose and Benony are brothers. Their paternal grandmother would have been Christiana Edmundson, a daughter of John and Martha Edmundson. Since the date of this estate is into the 1800's maybe the John Edmundson of the Will is a brother of Christiana (Edmundson) Gresham rather than her father.

I have not had a chance to look for a copy of this Will and research in Dinwiddie Co. Anyone with information, please contact me.
