Searching for Basque Ancestry

I'm very interested to find past ancestry-especially regarding my basque heritage. My father was born (1951) to Roy Elizondo (deceased) in Houston, TX. I know that they came from Apisaco, Mexico to the states at some point but that's where the information trail stops for me. Please let me know if you have any resources or information on names, etc.
