Duck Creek MM was located in what is now known as Smyrna Delaware, just below the Kent Co/New Castle Co line, although thinkingabout it, I think the meeting house was on the New Castle County side of the creek. David wilson married Margaret Empson and he built a large brick mansion, now operated by Historic Odessa Foundation, in Odessa DE. Margaret's sister married William Corbit, who built a larger brick mansion on land owned by DAvid Wilson and eventually sold to William Corbit after completion of the home in 1774. David Wilson's mansion wasn't finished until 1769, so Margaret never resided in it. After her death, David Wilson married William Corbit's sister, Mary Corbit. David Wilson eventually built the Appoqunimink MM in Odessa, New Castle Co DE, which still meets, though I'm not sure if it meets monthly now or not.
I volunteer at both homes. We are searching for more information on DAVID WILSON. I have pictures of the home of Cornielius Empson, d. 1710, which are available online though the Library of Congress, along with the Corbit house before restoration in the 1930's as well as the Wilson home.
