Mary, your message means the world to me!I was raised to know absolutely nothing about my father, Arthur Franklin Jackson, Louis and Josephine's son.You can imagine how difficult it's been tracking a surname like Jackson, or trying to find out about a man who no one in my family wanted to talk about. So when Hal sent me his GEDCOM, it was like having a trunk full of riches. We all have regrets in relation to how we have or haven't done genealogy, and not tackling that GEDCOM immediately after receiving it is one of mine. But I had all lines to investigate at the time, and I had to make hard choices.
If anyone in your husband's family can persuade Hal to resend me that GEDCOM, it would be Christmas all over again.Or if anyone has it, I would not only be extremely appreciative, I would be happy to share anything I find out which connects to it.Please write to me [email protected]
And no, I don't have any pictures of anyone in that family.I'll be happy to pay for color duplicates or xeroxes, and the postage.
You can't begin to know how happy your message makes me!
