Re: EPPS, LAURANCE 1782 NC 1861 TN
I have communicated to you in the past but if I had your e-mail I lost it so am using this forum. We are both descendants of James C. Epps of Lincoln Co.I am going to take my brother to Fayetteville to do a little Epps research. He has never been to the old Epps graves. I will show him the Unit cemetery and we plan to visit John Norris Epps place down Epps Hollow road. I have not visited this place myself. I believe you told me that the home is still standing. Is it a log home or otherwise? Could you give me a hint how far down the Hollow this home is located and on which side of the road? It may be at the end of the road but I am not sure. Is there a family grave site at this location? We are also going to visit the grave of Hugh Epps in Stones Cemetery.Chris Wheeler says this is the original home place of Lary are oldest found ancestor. I know the location is down Union Hollow Road and is on a road that branches off this road to the right and follows Union Branch.Chris said you probably know the name of the present land owner and his address. If you have this information please let me know. Any help on pin pointing Stones Cemetery would be apprecialted. I am leaving next Sunday the 6th of July so would like to here back before that date if possible. Is there a log home on this property that belonged to the Epps? Can you suggest any other important Epps sites to visit while we are there.
Thanks for any help.Lawrence Ward Epps
