Peterson Epps - My Brick Wall
My late aunt and uncle, plus a cousin, apparently all established their
membership in the Epps Society based on The societies' Trial Chart #40
which was published in the mid-1970s.It has become quite apparent that
while I am certain that we are descendants of Francis Epes I, the lineage
established by that chart is incorrect.
For many years we have assumed that my g(3)-gf, Peterson Epps, was the
son of Isham and Amy Goodwyn Epps. This is obviously not the case per
Vol III of Mr. Dorman's work on the Epps genealogy and from my personal
correspondence with him.
I have had emails from other individuals who tell me that Peterson Epps had only daughters.

names a Daniel S. Epps as the executor of the estate.I believe Daniel to be my g-g-gf,
Daniel Spain Epps.It could be that he was not mentioned in the will because he
had received his portion of the estate prior to Peterson's death.Since the society of that
time was not as litigious as today's society that could be an explanation for Daniel not being
named in the body of the will. However I have also run across several cases where my
ancestors have stated in their wills that certain children had already received their share of the estate.
Does anyone on this list have some ideas on how I might clarify these
