Re: The Erhards of Clearfield Co, PA

I live in Monterrey, Mexico, and I know my great-great-grandfather, Cayton Erhard, came down from Texas and settled in the north of Mexico sometime in the 1850's. There are some 50 Erhards in Mexico and I have quite some information on how Cayton Erhard came here, why, and which way.I have found that he came from Germany to New York but moved south quickly to Texas as he was promised better opportunities in the newly created state.I know of other Erhards in Texas and in California.I invite you to investigate if our families are somehow related.
