In regards to your statement "The other children of Thomas and Bridget include Richard Ernle, gent., of Dilton. His line remained at Dilton, but there are so many gaps in the registers that I have as yet been unable to reconstruct it beyond the first generation. It may be that your line fits in somewhere here. The Money-Kyrle papers will probably yield the answer as the one-page prospectus for "Stemmata Ernleiana" that the WSRO kindly sent me mentions that it contains material including a genealogical table on the Brembridge branch of the Ernles, which I would dearly love to examine."
I believe the Richard you are talking about married Elizabeth Cogswell. They lived at Bremeridge after they were married.Richard and Elizabeth Ernly are mentioned in Edward Cogswell's will of 1615 (Elizabeth's father).Richard and Elizabeth had the following children, most of which are listed in both the Westbury and Dilton baptism records: Bridget christened 4 Sep 1608 Catherine c 3 May 1611 Mary c 20 Mar 1612/3 Anna c 13 Nov 1614 Dorothea c 10 Apr 1617 Frances (f) c 18 May 1619 Thomas c 3 Sep 1623 Richard c 3 Sep 1623
I was wondering if Richard and Elizabeth (Cogswell) Ernly and children moved away as I cannot find death records for any of them except Bridget.
