CORRECTION/UPDATE:
Based on information recently provided to me, it would now appear that the William IRVIN for whom I seek information did NOT marry a Peggy Robertson, in 1797, in Montgomery Co., VA after all. In fact, “that” William Irvin/ERWIN apparently descended from the early Augusta Co., VA Irvines/ERWINs, and merely married a woman from Montgomery Co.,VA, thus explaining the record of their marriage in that county. As its been related to me, that William died in 1817, and therefore cannot be the William Irvine associated with our particular line.
Having said that, the only known marriage of "our" William Irvine appears to have been to the aforementioned Freelove Boothe (b1789; NY) in 1806, in Montgomery Co., VA. It would also that “our” William Irvine died during the late-1820s, to the early-1830s, and presumably in Montgomery Co., VA.
