Allen B. EVANS probably spent time among his father's siblings, who lived in the same precinct of Mecklenburg Co., VA, as the Westmoreland family. Martha GLOVER’s mother died at an early age, and she probably spent time with her grandmother, Martha WESTMORELAND. It is thought that Martha W. GLOVER married Allen B. EVANS at the Westmoreland home in Mecklenburg Co., VA. By 9 Dec 1833, Allen B. EVANS was back with his siblings in Granville Co., NC, when they executed the Power of Attorney to Thomas F. PARROTT to settle their father's estate. He soon moved to Maury Co., TN, where he appeared in the 1834 Tax Roll of the 4th District. Martha's father, Daniel GLOVER, probably moved with them, as there was a male 50-60 years of age with them in the 1840 Census of Maury Co., TN. Allen B. EVANS was in the 1841 Tax Roll of Maury Co., TN. Allen B. EVANS moved to Wayne Co., TN, before 1845, when he signed a petition to be attached to the east side of Perry County, provided the said Perry Co. is divided making the Tennessee river the line. Afterward he appears in the 1850 Census of Perry Co. Daniel GLOVER remained in Maury County with the Westmoreland's. By 1860, Allen B. EVANS was living in the 15th District of Wayne Co., TN. His post office was Carrollville, TN. By 1870, his post office was Waynesboro, TN.
